A round table discussion in Královehradecký region will be held on the 30th March
A round table discussion about the prospects of wheelchair access for tourists in the Czech Republic and the Královohradecký region will take place in Hradec Králové. The event will take place on 30.3.2011 from 10 a.m. at the regional authority office of Královohradecký region, 1245/2 Pivovarské náměstí, 500 02 Hradec Králové, room no. P1.411. It will be one of many round table discussions organized in the Czech Republic. It will bring many interesting observations and findings regarding the development of services and promotion of the region. Good practice experiences from the area of “Tourism for all” will be presented at the event.

A Handbook on wheelchair accessible travelling - Accessible travelling for everyone was first introduced in Ostrava at an international conference called “Travelling for Everyone” held on 15.11.2010. The aim was to motivate users to put this form of travelling through to strategic documents and into practice in the form of cooperation with the project team or as individuals. You will find an outlook of this handbook in the conclusion section. 10.11.2010 Workshop about issues of travelling without barriers
Civic association TRIANON Český Těšín in cooperation with the County Council for people with disabilities (KROZP) in Kralovohradecký region will organize a workshop. The workshop is organized within the project ATHENA on the road (CZ.1.04/5.1.01/12.00018) which is funded by the European social fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic. The workshop is open from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. on 10.11.2010 in the lounge on the 14th floor of hotel Černigov, 1494 Riegrovo náměstí, 500 02 Hradec Králové. The aim of this workshop is to present wheelchair accessible travelling as an area with potential for increase in employment and social businesses, then to promote wheelchair accessible travelling in practice and motivate others to cooperate.
TOWN WITHOUT BARRIERS conference
The national committee of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic has organised a conference TOWN WITHOUT BARRIERS which is to be held within the Medical Fair Brno 2010. The conference takes place on 21.10.2010 at Brno Exhibition, Hall E, Press centre, 2nd floor. The conference will start at 11 a.m. The aim of the conference is to introduce new trends in the area of the accessibility of cities and towns in the Czech Republic to people with disabilities. Participation at the conference is free.

The workshop is open from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. on 13.9.2010 in the town cultural centre, 101 F. Procházky Street, Nová Paka. The aim of this workshop is to present wheelchair accessible travelling as an area with potentials for increase in employment and social businesses, then to promote wheelchair accessible travelling in practice and motivate others to cooperate.
